DIY SOS
Contract Floors Ltd were contacted by the DIY SOS team to supply and install flooring for their work on a Blackpool Million Pound Build for BBC Children in Need at Blenheim House, a charity, owned by Blackpool Carers Centre.
The Blackpool Carers Trust, which is supported with funding from BBC Children in Need, provides much-needed support to young carers.
It involved the transforming of this Blackpool young carers centre, from a run-down, neglected Victorian house, to a fun, safe and supportive environment where young carers are able to enjoy their childhood.
The transformation was documented on television in ‘DIY SOS: The Big Build BBC Children in Need special’.
Contract Floors Ltd joined the DIY SOS team for this special project and worked alongside TV presenter, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, the home style consultant, who designed the project.
Contract Floors Ltd installed and supplied resources, labour and materials for this very good cause. We would like to thank our suppliers who supported us in this.
The charity receives BBC Children in Need funding to provide out-of-school respite and training activities as well as peer support for over 100 children and young people with caring responsibilities. However, they are always looking for support and funding. If you can help or are interested further see their website.
